Why we made it
Less searching. More cooking.
Table Stakes started as a way to keep the recipes we actually cooked, enjoyed, and wanted to make again. The good ones deserve a reliable home; so do the notes that make them better next time.
This isn’t a food blog or a collection of hopeful bookmarks. It’s a working cookbook: small enough to trust, practical enough to use on a weeknight, and honest about the tweaks that matter in our kitchen.
We also want dinner to do more than taste good. We’re looking for food that feels nourishing and healthy in the way that matters to our family: real ingredients, some balance, and meals that leave everyone feeling well-fed rather than like they ate a compromise. Not perfection—just a better default.
Some recipes come from us. Others come from friends and family. Every recipe here has a reason to stay.
