Old Bay Shrimp Boil

A seafood boil with Old Bay-seasoned broth, red potatoes, smoked sausage, corn, and shell-on shrimp.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Old Bay seasoning, plus more for serving
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 4 quarts water
  • 12 oz beer
  • 8 red potatoes, quartered
  • 2 lb smoked sausage, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 8 ears frozen corn, thawed
  • 4 lb large shrimp, in their shells

Instructions

  1. Bring the Old Bay, salt, water, and beer to a boil in a large pot.
  2. Add the potatoes and boil for 8 minutes.
  3. Add the sausage and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add the corn and cook for 7 minutes.
  5. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 4 minutes.
  6. Drain the boil and serve immediately with additional Old Bay.
